Check out what some are calling the future of t shirt printing. It is called the T-Jet and it is a direct to garmet t shirt printer. I hear it requires little knowledge of the screen printing trade but I have never used it nor have I ever talked to anyone who has. If you have an opinion about this machine, please post it in the comments. When it first came out it was not able to print on black t shirts, however, I have heard that the new model does print on black tees now. These puppies were in the 10k range about a year ago when I first stumbled on to them and I believe the larger models which can print multiple shirts at one time were in the 18-20k range. By the time I can afford this they will have something new out but I can’t help but day dream of a day when you can easily cut out the screen printing process, hit a button, and with no brain power at all, pop out a flawless tee with my own design on it. Still, I have my doubts about the quality and although it is better than iron on transfers, I still look at screen printing as the best way to go. Maybe we can give the guys at T-Jet a few more years to perfect it and I will be ready to jump on the bandwagon.

Digital t-shirt printing is here and it works. It allows a traditional screen printer to capitalize on the shorter runs where the per-unit cost is usually high.
We are marketing the KodiJet line of direct to shirt printers and are the North American distributor for the Yuhan-Kimberly NanoColorant inks.
Typical print speed for an A4 size is 25 secs on white shirts, 1:30 on dark. The NanoColorant inks, with their proprietary ‘nano pigments’ give the widest color gamut of any aqueous textile ink on the market today.
